In late 2009, Greece’s credit rating plunged to the lowest in the Eurozone at that time. After the Standard & Poor’s ratings agency downgraded Greece’s credit rating to “junk status” in April 2010, fierce discussion about creating a rescue package both by Eurozone members and the Greek government became frequent. However, dependency on Britain, Switzerland and Germany’s economic prosperity for aide has created inter-Eurozone tension.
